The Namie Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Division has been working on revitalizing the town, including promoting Namie's local gourmet dish, "Namie Yakisoba," since before the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear accident, and it has become a familiar specialty of Namie town to many people. Currently, we are carrying out activities rooted in the community, such as holding Namie Yakisoba classes as part of "Hometown Experience Learning" at elementary and junior high schools. Even in disaster-stricken areas, Namie town is in our hearts. When you eat "Namie Yakisoba," you can feel Namie town no matter where you are or when you are. We want to continue our activities so that Namie Yakisoba can continue to be that soul food.

The Tohoku Five Great Yakisoba Summit was held in Namie Town for the first time in 13 years.
The project has attracted attention through crowdfunding, raising more than its target amount.

At the time, there were several dozen stores in Namie Town that sold the product, but immediately after the disaster, this number dropped to zero. Currently, the number has increased to three, and even at this very moment, Namie is continuing to recover as a town famous for its Namie yakisoba.
