"Joushu Ota Yakisoba" is said to have started when people who came to work in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, where industry is thriving, brought yakisoba with them. In the 1940s and 50s, there were apparently many yakisoba restaurants along the approach to Daikoin Temple in the city.
