- It is thin and easy to eat, and has a chewy texture.

"Shrine Croquettes" are loved by the people of Isesaki. One of the fond memories from my childhood is the "Shrine Croquette with the irresistible aroma of sauce." Scenes from decades ago come back to me one after another, such as the excitement of being handed a freshly fried croquette dipped in plenty of sauce, or how it satisfied my hunger after school. Completely different from ordinary croquettes, their chewy texture has made them popular as a snack rather than a side dish.

The shop opened in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture in 2010 with the desire to create a place where local elderly people could gather and chat, and a place for citizens to rally around. The "Shrine Croquettes" they serve are known as a specialty of Isesaki, and are so popular that not only locals but also people from outside the prefecture come to buy them.
