Revitalize Towada and revitalize Japan. And spread the food culture of "Towada Barayaki" to the "glocal"!

In 2010, the Tohoku Shinkansen line opened in full, and in order to attract visitors to Towada City, a local revitalization organization called the Towada Barayaki Seminar was established.

"Bara-yaki," which is also included in the group's name, is a unique dish that was commonly eaten in southern Aomori Prefecture. It is said to have originated in a food stall near a US military base in the 1940s, and became a huge hit in Towada City in 1958, where it is still a part of the food culture today.

The purpose of establishing the organization is to revitalize the town.
"Towada Barayaki" is a way to let people know about the town, and we are always conscious of regional revitalization. The only way to revitalize Japan is to revitalize the local area! To do that, we need to revitalize our own area!

We want to think globally, spread local food culture, and have more people from Japan and abroad come to Towada! The purpose of the trip will be for everyone to come and try the "Towada Barayaki" that is a common dish in Towada.
I hope that by showing such scenes to the children of Towada, they will develop pride in their community and be proud of themselves!
