Hiruzen, in Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, was originally a tourist destination attracting around 2 million visitors a year, but due to factors such as the diversification of tourist needs, the number of visitors has gradually decreased.
So, by using the local gourmet dish "Hiruzen Yakisoba," we hope to get more people to know about the Hiruzen region of Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, visit the area, and become fans!
From this idea, the "Hiruzen Yakisoba Koitonkai" was born!!
The Hiruzen region was once called an "island on land" due to the deep snowfall in winter and poor transportation access. Under such circumstances, each household made miso and miso sauce as a preserved food for the winter.
That is where the roots of "Hiruzen Yakisoba" lie!!
In the Hiruzen region, instead of sauce yakisoba, sauce yakisoba has long been a local favorite.
In addition to the food, there are many other experiences to be had in Hiruzen, such as cherry blossoms in the spring, camping and cycling in the summer, autumn leaves in the fall, and skiing in the winter. I hope that more people will learn about the charm of Hiruzen and want to return!
